김민정은 주로 작품이 설치될 공간을 소재로 하여, 전시공간을 전이시키는 영상설치 작업을 선보였다. 작업 전, 작가는 전시할 장소를 탐색하며 그 공간만의 디테일이나 구조에 집중한다. 충분한 탐색과 공간에 관한 드로잉이 선행된 후 정지된 공간에 움직임과 생명성이 들어간 듯한 3D영상을 제작하고, 이를 전시공간에 프로젝션한다. 전시장에 위치한 문이 숨을 쉬듯 움직이거나, 전시장 벽면이 차원을 확장해가는 영상들이 등장한다. 실재 전시 공간(현실공간)과 작가만의 새로운 감성을 넣은 영상 공간(가상공간)이 전시실에서 하나가 되면서, 건조하고 차가운 전시공간은 마치 숨을 쉬는 듯하며 초현실적인 분위기를 연출한다.

Min-jeong Kim Artist selects the installment space of art works as the main material, and displays the video image installment work to substitute display space. Before starts to work, the artist searches for the display space and highlights specific elements and structures. After exploring and drawing images on any given space, she devises 3D images, which seem to bring vivid and dynamic life to still space, and then, projects these into exhibition space. At that moment, it is found noticeably that door of exhibition hall moves alive and wall of exhibition hall disseminates multi-dimensional high-definition images. As the real display space(real space) and the artist's new sentiment-promoted image video space(visual space) becomes the oneness in exhibition hall, the dry and isolated exhibition space creates a breathing, vivid and superelastic atmosphere.
